National Post Graduate College Lucknow

National Post Graduate College Lucknow was established in the year 1974 by the then Chief-minister of Uttar Pradesh, Late Chandra Bhanu Gupta. The college is situated close to the banks of river Gomti in the heart of the city has lush green campus and is surrounded by a number of major institutions – Academic and Administrative.

In a city of 16 Universities and more than 150 degree colleges, National P.G. College is the only college which enjoys the highest status of CPE (College with Potential for Excellence) and Autonomous Status. The College offers under-graduate and post-graduate courses in Arts and Commerce faculties and under-graduate courses in Science and Computer faculties. The college also offers under graduate and post graduate programs for skill development under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra established with the special grant from University Grants Commission (UGC). There are six programs being offered under the scheme – two one-year programs under Community College and two degree and two post graduate programs under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kaushal Kendra are being offered. DDUKK has components of ICT, ITES and Banking, Insurance and Financial services.

Well-equipped labs, computerised rich library, e-library, data analysis centre and air-conditioned reading room are some of the basic state of the art educational facilities.

Study centre for IGNOU and Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University, Allahabad are offering a number of certificate, diploma and degree programs in distant mode. Regular consultation classes and remedial sessions are held for the students of the programs under IGNOU and UPRTOU.

NSS and NCC programs are part of outreach activities of the college inculcating the patriotism and the feeling of social service in the students.

College offers rigorous training for a number of indoor and outdoor sports such as Chess, Table Tennis, Lawn Tennis, Bad Minton, athletics and cricket. District level inter degree collegiate cricket tournaments – Chandra Bhanu Gupta Inter Degree Collegiate Cricket Tournaments, Amit Singh Trophy. The tournament is now in its 20’s

The single life force functioning behind the college administration is to provide quality education with the objective of inculcating virtues of disciplined, dedicated and good citizens in the students.

Admission Procedure

The candidates seeking admission in the college must read the prospectus carefully before filling the application form. Selfattested copies of the following documents must be attached:

1. Pass Certificate and marksheet of X^th and XII^th or equivalent examinations.
2. Marksheet of last examination passed.
3. In case the candidate passed his/her qualifying examination in the year 2024 or earlier, documentary proof must be furnished to the effect that:
   1. The candidate had not taken admission in any other College or University in 2024-25
   2. Notarized declaration certifying that the candidate was not involved or under suspicion/trial under any provision(s) of the IPC.
4. Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution from where the candidate passed his/her last examination as a regular candidate (original certificate shall have to be submitted at the time of counseling).
5. Applicants who passed their last examination as private candidate should submit Character Certificate from the Superintendent of Police / District Magistrate / Gazetted Officer. The certificate should not have been issued before 28th February 2025.
6. Candidates seeking admission on reserved seats must attach attested copy of Caste Certificate/CMO Certificate. Original Certificate must be produced at the time of counseling, failing which the candidate shall not be entitled to any reservation benefits.
7. Application forms completed in all respects along with copies of required documents will be accepted till the last date.
8. No admission form shall be entertained after the due date.
9. Incomplete application forms shall not be considered for admission.
10. Candidates qualifying in the entrance test will be required to appear along with their parents/guardians before the Admission Committee for interview / counseling.

Note:

1. Candidates having passed their 10^th standard examination, before 2021 for UG Courses and before 2018 for PG Courses, need not to apply.
2. Candidates must submit their Character Certificate and Transfer Certificate in original at the time of admission.
3. Candidates employed with state government or in any other establishment should produce No-Objection Certificate from their employer / competent authority for seeking admission in regular courses of the College.
4. Fee-Refund is permissible within Three days from the date of deposit – No Refund is permissible after the expiry of Three days from the date of deposit.
5. No Claim for Fee-Refund shall be entertained from unsuccessful candidates in the semester exams.

Admission Prohibited

Following categories of candidates shall not be considered for admission in the College:

1. Candidates having failed in a class cannot seek admission in the same class.
2. Candidates found guilty under IPC or their involvement in any kind of dispute, quarrel or anti-social activity anywhere, or misbehaviour with the college staff or teacher shall not be considered for admission.
3. Candidates found guilty of using unfair means in the examination are also not eligible for admission in the college.
4. Candidates having back paper in 1^st and/or 2^nd semester shall not be given admission in semester 5^th. Students shall be given admission in Semester 5^th online if, they don’t have any back-paper in Semester 1^st and/or Semester 2^nd
   1. In case, a candidate succeeds in seeking admission by forgery / hiding facts, his/her admission shall stand cancelled on revelation.
   2. Students found using unfair means in the examination will be barred from remaining papers, their entire examination will be cancelled and admission in future will not be granted.
